Cape Ann Transportation Authority is a non-profit transit service that offers the convenience of transportation across the Cape Ann area, including additional services to Danvers and Peabody Malls and in Ipswich, Essex and Beverly.

For over 40 years, CATA has served citizens and tourists of Cape Ann and the North Shore, and continues to save money and protect the environment by maintaining the quality and practicality of public transportation.

Offering this convenience to everyone, including special accommodations to the elderly and disabled, CATA is committed to providing the absolute highest standard of public transit to its customers.

The Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) operates its transit service and programs without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. Title VI provides that "no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the CATA.

Proposed Federal Fiscal Year 2019-2021 Goal

The Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA), in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation Regulations at 49 CFR Part 26, has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2019-2021. CATA's goal for DBE Participation for FFY 2019-2021 shall be 2.9% of funds expended in U.S. Department of Transportation assisted contracts.

The goal and description of the methodology used to determine the goal will be available for inspection for 30 days following the date of publication of this notice during normal business hours (8:00am-4:00pm) at CATA's Operations Center located at 3 Pond Road, Gloucester, MA 01930.

CATA and the Department of Transportation will accept comments on the goal for 30 days from the date of publication of this notice.
