Student Pass Options
CATA is offering the following options for Student Bus Passes for the 2023-2024 School Year. Passes are available for purchase online or through the mail.
Annual Pass – $200 prepaid bus pass valid on all CATA routes (except the Mall Bus), valid until August 31, 2024
Fall Semester Pass – $100 prepaid bus pass valid on all CATA routes (except the Mall Bus), valid until January 31, 2024
Spring Semester Pass – $100 prepaid bus pass valid on all CATA routes (except the Mall Bus), valid until August 31, 2024
(Available for purchase at GHS August 23, 24, 25 1 – 4pm, 8/28th 10am-4pm, 8/29, 30, & 31 lunch blocks through 4pm)
Pass Plus – $25 pass which allows a discount fare of $0.50 each time the student rides a CATA bus (except the Mall Bus), valid until August 31, 2024

MOBILE FARE PAYMENT APP: MassDOT BUSPlus (download app to your phone)
MAIL: Complete the form and enclose a check for $25 (Pass Plus), $100 (Semester Pass), or $200 (Annual Pass) made payable to CATM (Cape Ann Transit Management, Inc.). Send it with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: CATM, 3R Pond Road, Gloucester, MA 01930.
GHS: Passes will be available for purchase at GHS August 23, 24, 25 1 – 4pm, 8/28th 10am-4pm, 8/29, 30, & 31 lunch blocks through 4pm
Discounted passes may be available to income eligible families. If you think you qualify, request this discounted pass by providing proof of hardship with any of the following documents: 2022 Federal Income Tax Return, SSI letter of income, or Transitional Assistance letter of income. Proof of income must be made in writing to CATM, 3R Pond Road, Gloucester, MA 01930
There will be NO in office replacements or sales.
